| Purpose of the 2 tank vent system is multiple including better venting with fewer hoses. The system traps oil carried into the tanks and returns the oil to the motor to maintain a constant oil level. It allows you to easily fill the motor with oil by removing either of the filters and pouring in oil. As the oil enters on one side the air in the crankcase is displaced and exits through the opposite filter which eliminates an air lock for ease of filling. Another plus of having 2 tanks and filters is that the air drawn in and pushed out of the crankcase is split between 2 tanks which results in less velocity and better control of the oil mist. By controlling the air flow we can make the tanks and filters smaller and mount them above the head improving their efficiency. The reinforced hoses are hot oil proof and have fittings that screw on to the tanks. You will find the entire system to be very functional and eye appealing |
